Whew, we’re almost at the end of the year! November was a decent month for me as a freelance contributor.

Among other things, I managed to have three pieces published celebrating the 30th anniversary of Sailor Moon, a Japanese anime & manga that’s dear to me. This month also marked one year since I became a freelance contributor for the LGBTQ website Into More!

Here are the freelance pieces I wrote that went up in November.

10 Fabulous LGBTQ Magical Girl Comics– For Into More, I wrote about LGBTQ magical girl comics influenced by Sailor Moon.

Girl Vs The World Shows An Autistic Black Girl Surviving & Thriving– For my Brain Mills Press column The Afro YA, I reviewed Kyla Alleyne’s middle grade novel Girl VS The World, which features a Black autistic female lead.

10 Ways To Cope With Grief During The Holidays– For The Ability Toolbox, I used my personal experience with grief to provide tips for coping with it during the holiday season.

Marvel Snap Comics XF Roundtable– Since my fellow comic book critics over at Comics XF are currently loving the mobile card game Marvel Snap, I suggested we do a roundtable discussion piece.

Strange Academy Finals Issue 1 Review– Since I binge read Marvel Comics’ Strange Academy series via the hoopla digital library app, I decided to give issue 1 of the follow up series a review.

Sailor Moon Manga Reading Order– For Popverse, I wrote a comprehensive reading guide for the Sailor Moon manga.

In The Name of The Queer: Sailor Moon’s LGBTQ Legacy– For Popverse, I discussed the LGBTQ themes in Sailor Moon and how the anime and manga have gone on to influence LGBTQ+ fans and creators.

Final Notes: I hope everyone has a great rest of the year and a happy holiday season!
