March was another productive month for me, despite a lot going on in my personal life. I wrote some pieces that I was proud of and others I believed would be helpful.

Brain Mill Press

Book Review: We Are All So Good At Smiling by Amber McBride– I’d been looking forward to this novel in verse for months and ended up reading this book twice because of how intricate it was.

COMICS XF

Photon Issue 3 Review– This issue of Marvel’s ongoing Photon series marked a turning point as Monica is allowed to do something productive with her powers rather than wandering aimlessly throughout her personal multiverse.

Into More

12 Gender Affirming Video Games With Trans and Nonbinary Characters– This feature piece highlights several indie video games where you can play as a transgender or non-binary character and it was a lot of fun to research and write.

Gayming Magazine

Blue Reflection Second Light Was The Gay Magical Girl Version Of Persona I Needed– I wrote a personal essay on why Koei-Temco’s game Blue Reflection Second Light ended up being more satisfying than most of the Persona games offered.

The Ability Toolbox

I Stopped Oversharing and It Greatly Improved My Mental Health– I wrote a personal essay on how I broke my unhealthy habit of oversharing on social media and related this to how complicated the issue is in terms of setting personal boundaries versus seeking mental health support.

That Eric Alper

Pittsburgh-Based Pop Singer Valentina Cherico Releases “Teach Me How To Love Again”– As I mentioned back in January, I’ve been writing music press releases about up and coming indie music artists for a music publicist, Eric Alper. This particular song was a gorgeous ballad featuring soaring vocals.
